came off the Namekagon River about noon today. The Namekagon River is beautiful, but the weather was dreadful. We paddled about 50 miles in 4 days, and it rained about half the time. At least Friday was a gorgeous day. Hopefully we can come back and enjoy this river in
some better weather. Actually, I think God made rainy days so you could really appreciate the nice days.We are camped and drying out at the LCO Casino in Hayward Wisconsin. The casino is operated by the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Ojibwe. Hayward is famous for, among other things, the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame the Lumberjack World Championships and the Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival, which ended today and features 2500 cyclists.
We plan to stay here until Tuesday, then we will head east across the upper peninsula of Michigan.
